Namaskarams from SIFAA team! For the year 2023-2024 SIFAA is happy to announce 4 concerts for NC based artists – primarily those who are music teachers in the triangle area. SIFAA will provide professional stage, audio and the needed infrastructure similar to any SIFAA premier concert. Last date to apply (October 8th 2023).

This is a SIFAA sponsored event. 

 

Guidelines:

  1. The concert must be of 1.5 hours . 

  2. Artists must adhere to standard concert paddathi (Alapna, neraval, kalpana swarams, main, sub-main, optional RTP)

  3. Applications will be accepted till 10/08/2023.

  4. Applicants are requested to submit Youtube links of their previous concerts. The recording has to be minimum 90mins. This will help SIFAA allot times accordingly.

  5. If we get more than 4 qualified applications who meet all the guidelines, SIFAA will utilize “First come First Served” process. Application date will be considered to make the decisions.

  6. SIFAA will remunerate the artists based on the grants/funding allotment to these initiatives.

  7. We plan to host one concert per quarter.
  8. We request artists to utilize accompanists from our area, SIFAA will help facilitate. 

  9. In the event we don’t receive applications for the concerts from music teachers, we will open these slots to our member/general NC based artists.

  10. These concerts will be ticketed events. These concerts are also contingent on SIFAA receiving Public Grant

 

Guidelines to Accompanists

Accompanists must have experience in accompanying concerts of the length (2hrs plus).
SIFAA will provide your details to the artists to facilitate the program accompaniments.
SIFAA may allocate accompanists to the programs.
SIFAA will work with artists to make sure that all the accompanists get atleast one chance in the community programs.
In the event of few accompanist’s applications, SIFAA may revert to inviting out of state artists to full fill the program needs.
